I have wanted to hike to Timp Cave for over three decades. My mom would tell us the legend of Timpanogos as we would pass through Utah County on our way to Colorado each summer. I had always wanted to see the heart. Why I didn't do it the six years I was in Provo is a mystery...I was too busy studying (looking back there are many things I should have done instead of study) but that's for another day. Finally, I was able to see the heart of the cave my mom had talked about so many years before. The views of American Fork Canyon were beautiful as we hiked up---wow, it was a steep hike!

The inside was incredible, absolutely fascinating how water and minerals can create such amazing creations. The heart. |

Zachary was dying to take some pictures so as the boys finished filling out the Junior Ranger books I let him at it. A thumbs up from Brian and a questioning glance by the Ranger. |
