June 2012

Mom came and stayed with the kids while we were on Trek and then while we went to Girls Camp the following week. A few of those girls had it rough, home from Trek for three days and then back up to Girls Camp. Thankfully, Girls Camp was only three and a half days. The Stake went back to St. Joseph's Camp about half an hour south of Flagstaff, though with the size our stake has gotten it will be the last year they will let us use their facilities. We got up there  a bit before skits, enough time for a little glitter to get put in Brian's hair by the girls. He's a good sport. We enjoyed skits, dinner and testimony meeting with the girls. I love being able to go to Girls Camp, I love watching the girls over the years grow in their testimonies of the gospel. By the time Girls Camp was over we were half way through the month. Swim team for Matthew, Big Surf, weekly summer movies filled up the remaining two weeks.
Brian, Donny Taylor and Jesus Sedillo at Girls Camp. Donny and Brian were the counselors to Bishop Sedillo. Donny was called as Bishop of the Coronado 2nd ward the same Sunday Brian was called as Bishop of the Meadowview 2nd ward and Bishop Sedillo was released.

one of the traditions at the San Tan Stake Girls Camp is to have all the Bishops come up and do Tutti-Ta. in the back: Bishop Fleming, Bishop Schnepf, Bishop Kost, Bishop Layton, Bishop Pennington (hiding) Front: Bishop Cullimore, Brian, Bishop Taylor, and Bishop Dockstader. They also will tell one or two funny stories/antedotes about each Bishop and see if they can guess which Bishop they are talking about.

I walked into the downstairs bathroom and bubbles were starting to expand...

15 minutes later he had moved from bubbles, to stamping himself and anything else with a check deposit stamp Brian had in his desk drawer. I was ok with the bubbles, not so much with this. can't keep turn my back on the child...

We finally got new carpet put in the house. It was really almost worse than moving. I told Brian we are going to move before getting new carpet again. The men had asked for everything to be off the old carpet, right?? So of course we did as they asked. When they came in the house, they were completely shocked that there was nothing on the carpet. Apparently, they said, no one does as they ask. This was the biggest headache that started back in April. We found  colors we liked, when they were ordered, they had been discontinued. Finally find new colors, they get ordered, we move all the furniture, they get delayed getting here...etc..etc..I was truly ready to pull my hair out.

No TV, so the boys watched the iPad in the couch nest for two weeks

Waiting for the next races. Those nights are long and hot. Korbin, Steph J. Brian, Andrew, Zachary and Mathew. Guess Brian J got to keep the girls home with him tonight!

A monsoon rain, brings everyone out to play, especially if they happen during the day. The majority, of the little rain we do get comes at night or on Sunday, so the kids go nuts when they can play in it. Matthew and Korbin.
