Sponge vs. Dish Rag
I've flip flopped over the years between the two. Started out using a sponge when we were first married because that is what my mom used. Then got disenchanted with it, so switched to a dish rag....back and forth....back and forth. What do you use? Do you recommend a certain brand? Just curious.

I have had the same dilemma. What I find useful (at this moment in time) are those disposable wash rags that usually come in a 6 pack for around $2. I use them and wash them and use them again until they are stained or thread bare and then I just toss them away - guilt free. In AZ everything seems to get that sour smell after awhile so it is nice to have something that can be tossed out. In my experience sponges get that sour smell sooner than thin cloths. Good luck!
Hi, such cute pics of the boys!! and totally jealous of the VGs:) So I had to answer you post - this will out me as a wasteful californian...but I LOVE the clorox wipes, and I feel my counters are so sanitized after:) May not be heavy duty enough for 4 boys....I havent tested that level of durability:) I hope you guys are having a wonderful spring, we will need to figure out how to see you soon bc looking at the pics Zachary is so big!!

Actually, I prefer a dish rag for the kitchen and a sponge for the bathroom. I replace them often because they can get yucky.
Steph, you make me laugh:) I use a sponge, normally what is on sale. But I do have to have to the scrub on one side and the sponge on the other side. It helps me wipe but also flip and scrub when I need it. Rags seem to become to stinky after only a couple uses.

I use Quickie scrubbing sponges. They're cheap and are great for stuck on food without scratching like brillo pads. They retain soap better because they don't soak up lots of water like normal sponges or dishrags. Just thought I'd comment on that. Just because.
I use a sponge to wash dishes and a wet rag to wash tables and countertops. I do hate, though, when I smell my hands and they stink like an old sponge!
