Headed out for the 4th of July- saw fireworks from the parking lot of Costco- swam and played at the beach-met our new cousin Hadley- and got to spend a few hours with the MacD's (they get their own post). The kids have always been fine to watch the fireworks from Gram and Gramps backyard, but not this year, they wanted to see them up close and personal. As they grow up, they want to experience things in full force, so we are learning to adapt, and roll with a few more punches.
Although the days can be humorous, long, busy, always searching for that certain lego piece, there is always a measure of joy...

...Camping
We hit the mountains one evening in June for some camping. It was quite an evening- between Zach screaming he wanted to go home the whole night and a thunderstorm- there was little sleep. Zach really does not do well out of the comforts of his four walls. He fell asleep with his hands over his ears, and try as we might we could not get him to uncover them, even in his sleep. The thunder and lightening kept everyone awake for awhile, thankfully it didn't rain much. I think they were all dissapointed they didn't get to have smores. But the next morning was sunny and beautiful, and the long night was soon forgotten (at least by four boys!)
......Swimming
Andrew- second from bottom- I have always loved the running dives of 6& Unders
Matthew- the cool cat.
Someone needs to fatten that child up- you can see all his ribs- who is his mother?
Matthew and Andrew swam this summer and Brandon was on a dive team. We only got video of Brandon diving- so you'll have to use your immaginations. We were proud of Brandon doing something that was completely out of his comfort zone, attempting dives that he was scared of (inwards) ( can't blame him, I'd be freaked out I'd hit my head on the board too) and by the end of the season placing in meets.
