Easter Morning- the Easter Bunny brought everyone books this year- Brandon and Matthew were engrossed in the Lightening Thief books all day( and most days since) Andrew got some which he could actually read, and Andrew got all the rest of the Little Quack books. I'm not sure how every year baskets always end up as helmets.
Matthew finally got his Bobcat completed (read: Steph finally sat down and said we have got to get this thing done!) It had only been five months since he started scouts and really the requirements are not difficult at all, but it took us that long to get it done! He got branded by the bobcat- always a fun thing to look forward to.
Dawn, I know you are delighted to see your leg, butI figured since no one had seen what it looked like the first few weeks, they might like to see the monstrosity, and it was a noteworthy event. Dawn had her ACL reconstructed and spent a few days with us getting back on her feet (no pun intended) The recovery time suprised us all. What we thought might be one night turned into five days. Everyone had their special jobs to help unhook her from the cold pack and getting crutches(chuchels in Zach speak), medicine, food- we were a well oiled machine by the time she went home. Zach's decided he would become a broken record player, all we would hear him say is, "This one fine, this one broken"...over and over and over again. At first he would point to the correct leg when repeating, but as he has gotten smarter about where it is healing he now points to her thigh and foot and says, "This one fine" and to the knee, "this one broken". But really, we are hoping the batteries die or the cord from the record player fray before her leg is really healed.
We took the boys to the Gila Valley Temple Open House- here are a few perspectives:
Steph: thought it was a wonderful experience to share with the boys and teared up a bit in the celestial room, being in there with Brian and the boys.
Brian: Was on Zach watch, and was a little concerned he was going to jump or climb on something he wasn't supposed to, or start in on his forty questions ( we've surpased the twenty question limit with this child) was just glad we got out in one piece.
Andrew: Just wanted to go home- he had a fever that day, but it was the only day we could go, so we just went.
Zachary: Thought the plastic booties were really cool, and then determined they were even more cool when he could slide/skate down the hallways
Brandon/matthew: Their jaws dropped as we walked into the celestial room. They couldn't believe the chandelier, the peacefulness and the whiteness. It was fun to watch their facial reactions to the things they saw- I do have to admit, even we adults thought the chandelier was magnificent.

We got one picture. It will just have to do. Anyway, everyone needed haircuts- what a bunch of shaggy mops. Who is their mom?
