Although the days can be humorous, long, busy, always searching for that certain lego piece, there is always a measure of joy...

The Joy of being obedient
The bishop of our ward has asked fifteen families to live on their three month supply for ten days. We are one of the lucky ones who get to participate! When I say lucky I do mean lucky, not one ounce of satire. We have learned so much over the last few days that can only be done through actually being forced to use what you have. I am grateful that we have had a good supply of food and household items- their is great joy and peace in being obedient. That's not to say we won't have a few hiccups or painful moments! We'll let you know how it goes- there are some very valuable items everyone could learn from!

You should write up your experience for an article in the Ensign. Or have the boys write something for the Friend. If they do accept it for the Ensign, you could get paid. ;) I do have connections.
I think that is awesome. I am interested in hearing what you learned and what went well and what didn't. I hope you are all doing well.
Hi ole friend. I have to say my first reaction to this is "ugh." I'm glad you have such a good attitude about it and I look forward to hearing the results of your experiment!
We're VERY interested to hear about your food storage "10 day trial". Please blog all about it!
That Bishop sounds a bit evil ... hmmm, maybe it's a good idea. ;)
That's awesome!! I would love to do that. I want to hear all about it!
Did you have any time to prepare - did you know what day you were starting?
I'm interested to hear what your boys think about the experiment. I know i would be fine with it, but I don't know if my kids would since our food storage doesn't contain a lot of treats or snacks!
